Autograph letters signed from Drinkwater Meadows, The Grange, Brompton, to Charles John Kean [manuscript], 1855-1859.

In (1), Meadows wishes Kean the greatest success and shares his wife's assessment of Kean's performance, making reference to his portrayal of Louis [XI] and Hamlet. In (2), he compliments Kean on his "tremendous success" in Richard the Second. In (3) and (4), he voices his regret in hearing of Kean's withdrawal from management of the Royal Princess's Theatre. (4) he quotes Marc Antony "When comes such another?"
